Trip a Success
10/07/09
LONGWOOD,
FLORIDA (Wednesday, October 7, 2009) - George
Sasvari has returned from Denmark after a
successful series of training sessions and
courses. Two of the Danish Soccer Federation
(DBU) regions invited Sasvari to conduct coaching
courses on the SasvariWay coaching
methodology. The Jdysk Boldspil-Union (JBU)
and Sjællands Boldspil-Union (SBU) both offered
coaching courses to members of their respective
region with over 70 coaches that signed up and
attended the 3 hour session.
The
course included a one (1) hour classroom portion
followed by a two (2) hour session outdoors on the
pitch with sixteen (16) players. The
focus of the course was the SasvariWay methodology
used both for training teams and the popular
summer camp program. Coaches were introduced
to the methodology, how it is used in player
development, and the way it can be sued within the
new Danish Boldspil-Union (DBU) model.
In
addition to the courses, Sasvari was also invited
to train teams for several clubs throughout
Denmark. Kerteminde Boldklub Talent Group,
Fortuna Hjorring Juniors (Under 18's), Nyborg
Men's Senior team, Hjallase School Sports Academy,
and Horne Boldklub Under 10's Tournament all
hosted George Sasvari for training sessions or
motivational speeches.
The
response from coaches was very positive with
requests for more courses in the future.
Plans are being made for a residential coaching
course over a three (3) day weekend in the
Spring.

attending
07/08/09
LONGWOOD,
FLORIDA (Wednesday, July 8, 2009) - SasvariWay
Soccer Training Centers conducted three
consecutive weeks of residential camps for the
first time in it's history with a focus on quality
versus quantity. All three camps sold space
beyond projections and over 140 players attended
the high intensity training programs. The inaugural
Jr. PREMIER ACADEMY residential camp attracted 38
players and had to open up space after the initial
24 spaces were filled early in the Spring.
The HS Individual Camp originally was projected to
be also limited to 24 players but expanded to 31
registered boys from area high schools. And
finally the International Academy once again
exceeded expectations when 72 players attended
even though there were other residential and day
camp options available during the previous two
weeks. Planning for next year is
already taking place and information will be
updated in August.

Leads LHP to 4th Region Championship
02/14/09
ORLANDO,
FLORIDA (Saturday, February 14, 2009) - Lake
Highland Prep has won their fourth (4th)
consecutive Region Championship by defeating Mount
Dora 2-0 and once again qualified for Final
Four. Michael Rasmussen scored 2 goals in
regulation, once each half, and continued the
domination during region championships by the
Rasmussen family. A member of the Rasmussen
family has scored the winning goals for all four
of Lake Highland Prep's region final games.
"It's
amazing what those boys have done."
according to Head Coach George Sasvari.
"Aaron (Rasmussen) scored the deciding goal
on the final PK three years ago. Jason
(Rasmussen) scored in sudden death overtime 2
years to win it, and Michael scored in sudden
death OT last year. Simply
amazing"
Another
amazing fact is that Lake Highland during the last
four years while compiling consistency at winning
in the play-off has not had a single red card in
any regular season or play-off game.
